It’s important to know the why behind what we do. The why behind Silver Birch Photography is Ron Silver, my Granddad.
My Grandpa shared his love for photography with me. He understood what it was like to see and feel life differently; we call it the language of photography. The day he passed away I took a picture of the sun setting at the train station. I dedicated my photography to him in that moment, and he comes to mind every time my hands touch my camera.
Throughout a valley in life I looked up the meaning of my favourite tree. The birch tree is a symbol of new beginnings, regeneration, hope, new dawns and the promise of what’s to come. Silver Birch Photography is unfolding as old things go to rest and new beginnings awake.
“You are beautiful, and, a very talented photographer. I wish I had your insight and imagination. Love, Granddad”
